Now ipv6 is a new feature for the vps market

What i've noticed lately when I check the market for a virtual private server is that many vendors are offering one or more ipv6 addresses in their package.

I also see that about $10 will get you a pretty good feature offering.

For example:
-------------------

Ram/Memory: 512MB
Disk Space: 35GB
Bandwidth: 1500GB
IP Addresses: 1
Price: $8.95/mo

I can't speak for the quality of the longevity of the service, but the feature set is quite strong and certainly a big improvement from just a few months ago.

No only is the memory good, but I see a big increase in the disk space for many providers much larger.

I will come back with more info on the ipv6 offerings.

New Vps

Got a new Xen vps which I got a good deal on.

Only roughly $8 bucks for a 512mb of memory and 10gigs of disk space.

Been playing around with it to become familiar with xen and LxAdmin.

Webbynode

Hi,
Been a while, but now I've got a new vps that i'm running in a beta program that webbynode is running.

http://www.webbynode.com

You get a Xen vps with 5gigs of space and 192mb of memory. Really quite a decent free beta vps to test with and there is the option to upgrade and buy a standard paid product.

So far so good....they did change my ip address without announcement and their propiatary interface is clean, but perhaps not quite as comprehensive as you would get with a standard commercial product.

I need to do some more testing on the vps, but if i've got httpd running you are welcome to take a look.
